“The internship and residency have been a surreal experience. Participating in the internship and residency has broken down my day into learning in the morning and practicing in the afternoon. In the mornings, working on field notes on humanity and embracing my acting skills, has reshapes my view on the kind of art I make. Working with Louiza to set up her exhibit and being immersed in the theme of motherhood, has influenced me to rethink, how I engage with the community around me, and inspired me to make an artwork of my mother while exploring themes of feminism. a lot of the Internship work has led me astray from animation, but I don’t believe that is a bad thing. As lead me to think about reshaping my project into a multimedia showcase of my work. Which was part of the original intention. However, I plan on revising the way it is implemented.”
