Happy First of April! As the air in the Berkshires gets warmer and we near the end of the semester studio art, theatre, music, and arts management all have exciting events coming up in the next two months! 


Here is a timeline of everything you can go to before the end of the semester! We will post more here and on Instagram (@mcla_arts) as we get closer to some of the later events.


April 3-4 Berkshire Grown and MOSAIC Present “The Artful Farmer”

MOSAIC EventSpace 49 Main St.

“The Artful Farmer” looks at the non-farming parts of a farmer’s life, from their lives before becoming farmers to how they spend the chilly months. This pop-up features work from local farms such as Caretaker Farm, Cricket Creek Farm, Ioka Valley Farm, and many others.

April 14 (2:30 PM and 4:30 PM) WAM Theatre Women in Leadership Panel Discussion

MOSAIC EventSpace 49 Main St. 

On this second annual day of dialogue between WAM Theatre and MOSAIC, there will be two panels around gender equity through art and advocacy. The first centers around placemaking, while the later one discusses breaking barriers.

April 16 (5:30 PM) Mind’s Eye- Presentation by Lisa Donovan

 April 16-18 MCLA Theatre Presents “Eurydice”

Venable Theatre

Directed by theatre professor Laura Standley, this play is a retelling of the Ancient Greek myth of Orpheus and Eurydice, told this time from Eurydice’s point of view. “Sarah Ruhl’s play asks us to think about the ways we hold onto the people who shape us,” said director Laura Standley. “At its heart, ‘Eurydice’ is about the relationship between a daughter and her father, the complexities of unresolved loss, and the power of art to connect the living and the dead.”

May 1-3 MCLA Theater Presents “Leviathan”

Venable Theatre

“Leviathan” is a new work created by students in the New Works Development course and is inspired by “Moby Dick” and other philosophical works.


May 1 Better Together Block Party 

MASS MoCA

“Managing Creativity” students and MASS MoCA collaborate in a brand new celebration to connect our creative campuses through live music, art-making activities, and so much more!


May 4th (7 PM) Annual Spring Concert
